InfoMagisterUMA – Housewives from Sumber Melati Diski Village, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency, participated in the socialization and training of the Creative Art counseling model organized by the Master of Psychology Study Program, the Masters Program at the University of Medan Area (UMA) in the context of community service. This socialization was given to deal with stress in improving the quality of work life, this activity took place at the Sumber Melati Diski Village office hall, Tuesday (19/3/2019).
Attending the event, the Head of the Village of SM Diski, Sariman S.Pd.I, Director of the UMA Masters Program Prof. Dr. Ir. Retna Astuti Kuswardani, MS. Besides that, several UMA lecturers, namely, Drs. Hasanudin, M.Ag, Ph.D, Head of the Psychology Masters Study Program, Prof. Dr. Sri Milfayetty, M.Kons and Secretary of the Psychology Masters Study Program Nurmaida Irawani Siregar, S.Psi, M.Psi were present as speakers in the activity.
The resource person, Drs. Hasanudin, M.Ag, Ph.D said that this activity was a UMA program in community service for the Psychology Masters Study Program. “Everyone can experience stress. Parents, teenagers and even children. So we want the public to be able to convey something or manage stress, “he said on the sidelines of the event. Drs. Hasanudin, M.Ag, Ph.D then gave briefings on how to deal with stress to the mothers who attended. Participants seemed enthusiastic about following the direction of the speakers while doing relaxation, imagining thoughts and many things to relieve stress. “At least, those attending can be a fortress to deal with stress, at least for themselves. From here they will later talk and be able to teach their friends or other neighbors. So, we hope that the materials we teach can be distributed to the community, “Hasanuddin explained.
Meanwhile, Kades SM Diski, as the host, thanked the speakers and those involved in the event. “I am very grateful. UMA really cares about the community, especially my residents at Diski High School, “he said. Sariman hoped that residents who attended the event could practice what they had received from the speakers in their daily lives. “We know, in life there are many problems, especially mothers, right? Hopefully with this my citizens can be more mature in facing problems, better understand how to deal with the twists and turns of life. Once again I am very grateful to UMA and the speakers, “he concluded.
